Fees and Payment

The member rate registration fee applies to county child welfare staff and is $20.00 per day of training. Staff from private agencies who often team with child welfare staff in serving the same families also pay the $20 rate. The fee for other private agencies is $100.00 per day. The Partnership mails invoices to your agency after the training has been completed. Checks are to be made payable to UW Madison and mailed to the Southern Child Welfare Training Partnership, UW Madison School of Human Ecology, 1300 Linden Drive, Suite 1103, Madison, WI 53706. Please include the name of the person and the training title with the payment. Counties may also pay in advance.

Continuing Education Hours (CEH)/Training Requirements

Completion of sessions will be documented in PDS Online and available in the transcript. These hours will be determined based on the training Sign-in Sheet. Please be sure to sign in and out each day and note your travel time and mileage. If you must miss a portion of the training, please notify our staff and note the time you arrived or left on the sign in sheet. You receive CEHs for the number of hours actually attended. If you have questions about your CEHs please e-mail Brandi at trainings@southernpartnership.wisc.edu.

For Social Work Certification purposes, we recommend you keep information about the content of each training you attend in addition to your CEHs to verify that the training met the requirements stated in the Wisconsin Administrative Code: MPSW 8: Continuing Education.

For the DCF training requirements for all child welfare workers (HFS 43), your hours of completion for pre-service, foundation and on-going training need to be entered into the Training Tab in eWiSACWIS by your supervisor or someone designated by your agency. Your supervisors will be notified if you miss a significant portion of the training and will decide if you need to repeat the training.
